Life Skills Dog Training Class
Terms & Conditions
Welcome
Thank you for joining the Life Skills Dog Training Class.
This class is designed to help you and your dog develop practical skills for everyday life in a supportive and positive training environment. Every dog is an individual, and I encourage all handlers to work at their dog's pace throughout the course.
My aim is to help you build confidence, understanding, and a stronger relationship with your dog while making training enjoyable and achievable.
What to Bring
Please bring the following to every class:
-
Plenty of high-value food rewards
-
Two of your dog's favourite toys that are similar in value and excitement
-
A comfortable harness or flat collar and lead
-
Water for your dog if required
-
A mat, blanket, or bed for your dog to settle on
Arrival & Parking
Parking is available on the field.
For reactive, sensitive, or easily overwhelmed dogs, I recommend driving up the track and parking directly on the field where possible.
When you arrive, please give your dog a calm, high-value activity to calm them while you set up your space. If your dog will panic or not eat in this situation, remain with your dog while they have a calm activity on arrival.
The aim is to help dogs learn that arriving at class is calm and predictable rather than exciting or overwhelming which reduces barking.
